"She is REAL - what you see on video is actually how she is in real life - no airs"

"We call her 'JENERGY!' So much enthusiasm and a love of life!"
This is the part where I get to talk all about myself! In case you are curious about my background, here you go! Growing up in Raleigh, NC, I played many sports, but mainly softball, cheerleading, and gymnastics. I quit competitive gymnastics at age 15 and headed straight to the gym where I soon realized I enjoyed working out and taking fitness classes just as much as gymnastics. I started teaching group fitness classes (we called them “aerobics” at the time – remember that?) at age 17 and have not stopped!
I graduated from UNCW with a BS in Physical Education and a minor in Sports Management. I then worked as a Fitness Trainer & Group Instructor at SAS Institute in Cary, NC, where I developed many new programs and wrote 2 fitness manuals. From there, I attended ECU to get my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy and have been working as a PT since 2000, focusing on women’s health, geriatrics, and outpatient orthopedics. I currently hold a certification as a Certified Geriatric Care Professional
I currently live in Raleigh, NC with my husband and am a proud mom to 3 children (ages 22, 20, and 17), and my 5 year old Golden Retriever. In my free time, I enjoy working out (of course!) at my gym where I take any and all classes, playing tennis, running (I have run two marathons!), playing/walking with Lacey, going to the beach with my friends and family, hiking, baking, puzzles, and attending sporting events.
